The other night I listened to John Batchelor of WABC 770 AM talk radio chat with Gordon Chang (Forbes et al) about the possible threat of war with China and America over Taiwan. I highly recommend reading "Prisoner of the State: The Secret Journal of Premier Zhao Ziyang" to get an understanding of how the Old Guard played the corrupt communist game... and still do.
